Gunnar is a lifelong Iowan, growing up west of Des Moines on his family’s diversified farm. Gunnar recently completed his master’s degree in Crop Production and Physiology from Iowa State University, where he studied cropping system sustainability effects using alternative crops such as winter canola. Gunnar works with Iowa growers as a precision agronomist, focusing on developing management approaches that support efforts to mitigate risk, and maximize cropping system productivity and profitability. As a precision agronomist, Gunnar uses his agronomic background to address sub-acre variability and understand the driving factors that positively or negatively affect grower’s yields.
