He has a proven track record of expertise in sales and sales management. He has worked closely with global commercial organizations to realize the full value of sales and marketing transformation initiatives. Previously, Rick served as the Executive Vice President of Strategy & Business Development with Verdesian Life Sciences. In this role, he was involved in strategic initiatives, including the acquisition of Cytozyme Laboratories, Inc., which aimed to strengthen Verdesian’s position in nutrient use efficiency technologies. Before his role at Verdesian, Rick spent seven years working in various marketing and sales roles focused on industrial equipment in the oil and gas space. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his Masters of Business Administration from the Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business.
- [Scott Coldagelli](https://advancedagrilytics.com/team-member/scott-coldagelli/): As the Chief Transformation Officer with Advanced Agrilytics, Scott spearheads the company’s licensing business and managed services division. He grew up in Northern Illinois and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University and his MBA from Wake Forest University. Scott developed a passion for agriculture while serving in the Peace Corps in West Africa. Previously, he also spent time at Bayer Cropscience and also worked at Verdesian, most recently serving as the company’s North American General Manager. He and his wife Liz reside in Wake Forest, North Carolina with their three children.

She is passionate about advancing sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices. Prior to joining Advanced Agrilytics, she served as the Global Policy and Sustainability Leader for Corteva Agriscience and Dow AgroSciences. Jane graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in public service & administration in agriculture and agricultural business. She began her career with Ciba-Geigy as a sales representative in central Iowa. She went on to receive a J.D. from the University of Michigan. Currently, Jane serves as vice chair of the Indiana Natural Resources Commission and is chair of the Board of Trustees of the Indiana Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.
- [Mike Ritter](https://advancedagrilytics.com/team-member/mike-ritter/): Mike currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Advanced Agrilytics. Prior to joining Advanced Agrilytics, Mike founded SlantRange, an industry-leading company that developed remote sensing and data analytics solutions to automate phenotyping processes in agricultural research across more than 50 countries. Before founding SlantRange, he served as the Director of Electro-Optic Systems at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, where he directed business and product development of multiple intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions for unmanned aircraft for government clients. He has a deep technical background in remote sensing and data sciences and has been instrumental in creating innovative solutions across multiple industry verticals including agriculture, defense, and climate research.
- [Josh Meyer](https://advancedagrilytics.com/team-member/josh-meyer/): Josh was named Chief Financial Officer of Advanced Agrilytics in June 2020. He brings more than 20 years of experience as a finance and operations executive with a successful track record in the financial services, transportation, SaaS, real estate development and construction industries. Josh has a knack for working with teams to identify and interpret their financial story to help make data-driven decisions, identify process improvements to remove friction, develop strategic plans and forecasts, and enable cultures of transparency and fun across the organization. As Chief Financial Officer for a territory of a Fortune 500 company, Josh re-engineered and reduced management reporting by 80% to improve comprehension and focus on key metrics. By implementing strategic expense management reviews, he identified more than 35% cost savings and re-deployed it to build a sales support team that enabled 70% sales growth in just three short years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration, with an emphasis in Information Technology, from the University of Kansas. When not working, Josh enjoys adventures with his wife and three children, traveling, reading, movies and Jayhawk basketball.
- [Jon Fridgen](https://advancedagrilytics.com/team-member/jon-fridgen/): Jon brings his unique and extensive background in agronomy and soil science, with an emphasis in statistics/data analytics, to his role as Chief Science Officer with Advanced Agrilytics. Jon’s experience, which ranges from NASA to Monsanto, helps his fluency in several programming languages. Jon specializes in developing site-specific analyses and process-based models that improve understanding of product response, as well as the underlying yield generation process across the landscape. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science from the University of Missouri. When not working, Jon enjoys spending time with his family and working on his antique tractors.
- [Dr. W. Kess Berg](https://advancedagrilytics.com/team-member/dr-w-kess-berg/): Dr. William Kess Berg shares his more than 20 years of agronomic and ag tech experience with the team at Advanced Agrilytics as the Chief Innovation Officer. He specializes in bridging the gap between crop growth and development; soil’s chemical and physical properties; and general agronomic practices. Kess uses Geographic Information Systems as a tool to understand environmental attributes that impact crop performance and then adds weighted rankings to those attributes based on their influence at the sub-acre level. He uses his knowledge of soil mineralogy (specific clay types, chemical, and physical composition), crop physiology (specific nitrogen and carbon pools), and agriculture production to continually evaluate and develop even better understandings of crop management systems. Kess holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and both a master’s and a PhD from Purdue University.

With over 35 years in leadership, operations, and financial management, he has a proven track record of transforming businesses and driving growth. Kenny excels in building high-performing teams, developing strategic clarity, and enhancing both top- and bottom-line growth. With experience in over 20 transactions, he understands successful deal execution and post-transaction integration. Kenny has led global turnarounds, resulting in organizational rightsizing, improved customer relations, and significant cost reductions. He holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mississippi State University and is a retired Certified Public Accountant. Kenny serves on the board of Hopeful Community Outreach and previously served on the boards of the Mississippi Children’s Museum, United Fresh Produce, and Habitat for Humanity Wake County, NC.
