Advanced Agrilytics Names Chris Kallal Illinois Regional Agronomy Lead

Advanced Agrilytics, a leading agricultural solutions provider, announced today Chris Kallal has joined the company as the Illinois Regional Agronomy Lead.  

 

Role with Advanced Agrilytics

As a Regional Agronomy Lead at Advanced Agrilytics, Kallal plays a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring a team of Precision Agronomists to deliver advanced, data-driven agronomic solutions to farmers. The responsibilities of this role include:

 

  • Agronomic Guidance: Kallal will provide expert agronomic insights on crop management, including soil fertility, crop protection, and plant development. He will assist his Precision Agronomy team in making informed decisions tailored to specific sub-field environments, ensuring optimal crop performance
  • Research and Development: Kallal will assist in planning and executing research projects that inform and improve agronomic practices. He will collaborate with Ag Ingenuity Partners™, the research division of Advanced Agrilytics in this area.
  •           Sales Support and Market Expansion: Kallal will strengthen client relationships and drive market growth by collaborating with his team of Precision Agronomists. This involves providing technical and agronomic expertise during key sales interactions and developing support materials to enhance the sales process.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide vision and strategic direction to his agronomy team, fostering professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customized agronomic prescriptions and services to customers.

Before joining Advanced Agrilytics, Kallal spent 18 years with Asgrow/DEKALB where he served in a variety of roles, including:

  • Technical Agronomist, where he managed an 11-county territory and led a team of three District Sales Managers (DSMs) and approximately 80 seed salesmen.
  • Territory Sales Manager, where he managed a 4-county territory and oversaw 20 salespeople.
  • Local Field Advisor, where he managed a five-county territory and oversaw 25 seed salespeople.

 

Before working in the Asgrow/DEKALB seed division of what was then Monsanto, Kallal worked as a chemical sales representative and a retail sales manager.

Kallal has a Master of Science in Crop Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Technical Systems Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. He was also a member of the 2008 Illinois Agricultural Leadership program class.
