Introducing Mathew Tapley — Our New Business Development Director Focused on Partnership & Innovation

At Advanced Agrilytics, our work has always been driven by people — the agronomists, advisors, and partners who show up every day to help growers succeed. That’s why adding someone to our team is more than filling a role; it’s strengthening the relationships and expertise that shape how we support the industry. Today, we’re excited to welcome Mathew Tapley as our new Business Development Director, where he’ll work closely with agronomy providers and partners as we expand our licensing program.

Mathew joins us at a pivotal moment, not because of company milestones, but because of the shifts happening across agriculture. After 15 years working in ag-tech and agronomy, he has seen firsthand the challenges facing agronomy providers today: increasing pressure to deliver higher-value insights, rising input costs, and the urgent need for tools that translate data into real decisions. What sets Mathew apart is not just his experience across agronomy platforms and on-farm decision support tools, it’s his ability to bridge the gap between raw information and meaningful, field-ready action.

Throughout his career, Mathew has helped commercialize agronomy platforms, refine product-market fit, and empower CCAs and independent agronomists to scale their impact. His work has consistently centered around one goal: transforming complex agronomic data into usable recommendations that elevate on-farm performance. It’s that thoughtful, solutions-focused mindset, paired with his optimism and forward-thinking energy, that makes him such a natural fit for this role.

“Agriculture is moving toward precision decisions validated by outcomes,” Mathew shared. “Growers want predictable ROI, and agronomists need insights that truly reflect field conditions. That’s where deeper, science-backed understanding becomes essential.”

Understanding Today’s Agronomy Challenges and the Path Forward

Mathew has a unique perspective on the evolving needs of agronomy providers. He knows the frustrations of generic prescriptions, the limitations of surface-level analytics, and the strain on agronomists who want to deliver more tailored, high-impact advice but lack access to deeper insights.

What excites him about Advanced Agrilytics is our commitment to move beyond “pretty maps” and simple patterns. Instead, we focus on the why behind variability, the underlying drivers that create real opportunity at the sub-acre level.

For partners, that means access to agronomic models that don’t just analyze fields, but explain them, support decisions, and integrate directly into the systems they already use.

The Licensing Opportunity: Elevating the Standard of Agronomy

As Mathew steps into his new role, he sees one of the most significant opportunities in the industry: giving agronomy providers and ag-tech platforms immediate access to battle-tested, revenue-ready insights that improve service quality and accelerate adoption.

Licensing, in his view, is a way to elevate the entire agronomy ecosystem, not just the individual businesses who participate.

By integrating Advanced Agrilytics’ science-backed models, agronomy providers can:

  • Differentiate their advisory offering
  • Scale decision support without development overhead
  • Deliver more precise prescriptions tied to real field conditions

“Licensing allows agronomists to meet growers exactly where they are,” Mathew explained. “It enhances their capabilities without disrupting how they work.”

A People-First Approach to Growth

In his first 90 days, Mathew is focused on listening first, understanding existing workflows, learning from internal teams, and hearing directly from partners about their needs, challenges, and aspirations. His thoughtful, relationship-driven style ensures our licensing program grows in a way that feels supportive rather than transactional.

Long-term, his vision is clear: a scalable, partner-first ecosystem that expands access to deeper agronomy, raises the standard of insights across the industry, and helps more growers experience predictable, data-backed performance in their fields.

Looking Ahead Together

As agriculture continues shifting toward precision decisions and outcome-driven insights, Mathew is stepping into this role at exactly the right moment, not to claim the spotlight, but to champion the partnerships and innovation that will move the industry forward.

His arrival represents more than team growth. It marks the start of a new chapter built on collaboration, shared success, and elevating agronomy for everyone involved.

We’re grateful to welcome him, and even more excited to see the value he’ll help create for agronomists, advisors, partners, and the growers they support.
